Product Description
Ever wonder what is going on in a baby's brain? Or how you can best nurture a child's natural development? Or why exactly Bach is better than Mozart for babies? This book will explain why. No technical knowledge is necessary, as Shore makes recent neurological findings accessible to all those who come into contact with young children. Everything a baby experiences in his or her first five years is building the foundation of life's learning potential through the formation of neural networks in the brain. Through increasing the complexity of the early childhood environment in developmentally appropriate ways, we can nurture these neural networks. The visionary educational leader must look beyond the traditional boundaries of the K-12 system, and towards the space between the maternity ward and the kindergarten door.SimilarProduct

I found Baby Teacher to be most thought provoking albeit very easy and enjoyable reading. It changed the way I thought about my baby and his brain and the whole education system. It's a must for new moms or dads! I'm going out to find the Bach & Baby series right now! Mark, father of two
Every new parent should read before birth of your child.

This is a fantastic read for all parents who desire how to best stimulate their new child for the first 5 years of their life. The biggest news in this read is how very important it is for your newborn to be: talked to, sung to, read to, have certain music played and so much more. Infants are taking in so much information that we are unaware of and we don't want to miss the opportunity to fill their minds with all kinds of great experiences to be the building blocks for future learning. This book, along with my old gift of CDs for babies, will be my gift to all expectant parents. Grandparents, you can learn from this book too.
